At Brain Wave Psychiatry Services, we believe that mental health care should be accessible, affordable, and transparent. We offer flexible payment options for patients across California, whether you’re using insurance or paying out-of-pocket.

Insurance Plans Accepted

We currently accept the following insurance plans:

We verify your insurance benefits before your first appointment and provide an estimate of your financial responsibility.

Being in-network does not guarantee that your insurance will cover services. Coverage depends on your specific plan, deductible, co-pay, and prior authorization policies.

What to Ask Your Insurance Company

To better understand your mental health benefits, consider calling your insurance provider and asking:

  • Is Greg Desir, PMHNP-BC, covered under my plan?
  • Do I have telehealth coverage for psychiatric services?
  • Is a prior authorization required for mental health visits?
  • What is my copay or coinsurance for mental health?
  • Have I met my deductible yet?
  • What is my annual limit or visit cap for mental health services?

Out-of-Pocket (Self-Pay) Rates

If you’re not using insurance or prefer to pay privately, we offer flat-rate pricing for psychiatric services. All self-pay patients will receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) as required by the No Surprises Act.

Service fees and cost breakdowns are provided in the GFE. You’ll receive this estimate automatically before your first appointment.

Superbills & Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If your insurance is not accepted here, we can provide a superbill to help you seek reimbursement from your insurance plan. This is ideal for patients with out-of-network benefits.

  • Superbills are downloadable via the SimplePractice patient portal
  • Includes CPT and ICD-10 diagnostic codes
  • Reimbursement is not guaranteed—check with your insurance provider

Payment & Billing Details

We accept:

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
  • HSA & FSA cards

Payments are securely processed through your SimplePractice patient portal.
A valid credit card is required to be kept on file. You’ll receive receipts automatically after each visit.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or appointment changes.

  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours): $75 fee
  • No-shows (missed without notice): Full session fee

These fees are not billable to insurance and will be charged to your card on file.
